Thank you, 2018.

Assalamualaikum everyone.

Today is the last day for the year of 2018. Alhamdulillah I am so grateful to have my friends and family for supporting me always through ups and downs. Here are some major recap of what happen through out the year for myself:-

1. Completed my degree..! 😉
2. Went for job interview & secured my first ever proper job..! 😋
3. One of my coursemate passed away. Unbelievable. May Allah bless him. Insyaallah. Always miss you brother.
4. Being warded for 3 days due to leptospirosis 😥
5. Met new people & new friends 😌
6. Have an open discussion with my parents about someone that I ❤️.

Hehe.

Hmm..what else? Maybe thats all for now. I will update the list later if I can recall back. Haha..!

2018 have taught me on how to appreciate the people around me better. I really miss my schoolmate (primary & secondary), coursemate (matriculation & usm) and yoyo-mate. How I wish I can appreciate you guys better. How I wish I can go back to the old times. I hope you guys are in a good health where ever and when ever you guys are. I know sometimes I am quite "sombong" and always with myself. But you guys are always in my prayers. Be safe always.

Its been awhile

Assalamualaikum and hi everyone..!

Its been awhile..

So, I just started my first ever proper job recently. It is almost a month now I working there. So far so good for now. Still along way to go and more things to come. I'm looking forward to keep on learning across the journey :)

I started the job together with another 2 new collegue which was also hired during the same period as mine. But yesterday he already went for another job, a better opportunity for him hopefully. It is kinda sad to see him go. We were about to feel comfortable to work together. But what to do, that's life. People come and go.

As for myself, I will just do my best where ever I go. Insyaallah.

My Interview Experience 2.0

Assalamualaikum and hi everyone,

On the 23rd August previously I was invited for the familiarization tour (fam tour) with the company that I just went for the interview.

The fam tour was conducted to let us familiar with what and how they actually do their work and also to let us be familiar with the working environment on what to expect if we are going to work with them. During that time, there was another potential candidate that also went for the tour together with me.

The tour lead by the manager herself. It was conducted in the morning and completed near the afternoon. Soon after completed the tour session,she mentioned that if we are shortlisted for the 2nd stage interview, the company will contact us soon. But we need to attend for the interview on the exact same day.

So I decided to go somewhere else that is not too far from the company's office. About 1 hour later I received a call from their office inviting me to come to the office for the interview session. I was interviewed by the Managing Director. The questions being asked were not that difficult, but I still unable to answer the questions satisfyingly. But overall, it still was okay. Alhamdulillah.

Goal-list

Assalamualaikum and hi everyone.

Today I would like to share with you guys about what I want to achieve in next few years. Here is the list:

- have some working experience especially in Earth Science related.
- having my own savings which is the amount is a year of my salary.
- have a source of side income.
- master's degree related to my working field.
- good command in english, especially able to speak fluently.

That is all for now. I will update the list whenever there is additional target that I want to achieve.

My interview experience

Assalamualaikum and hi everyone.

Since the completion of my study in June this year, I have attended 2 work interview session. One which is in Shah Alam and the other which is in Batu Caves where the office about 20 minutes from my home.

The first interview which is in Shah Alam does not went quite well. I think I messed up a little bit because I did not nailed the questions good enough and due to lack of experience. Nervous I guess or maybe because its my first time went for an interview. I did my preparation of course and maybe because of the competition too, they told me that they interviewed about 50 plus candidates for the position from various of universities with broad of experiences. Can you imagine? You need to be the best among the best. After about a week plus I did follow-up. But until now I still not received any respond from the company yet.

Meanwhile for the second interview I did my preparation better than the first one. I read about the job description several times and also understand about the company's background. Besides that before I went for the interview I read a lot of tips and try to figure out what are the possible questions that may asked by the interviewer just to prepare myself.

And guessed what, I nailed it. Alhamdulillah. I have been interviewed by the manager and she told me that if I made it, I need to attend for a familiarization tour which is like a tour to the working place just to make the candidate familiar with what they actually do and after the tour I need to attend for a second stage interview session but this time with their director. Hahaha...its okay then. About after a week then I received a call inviting me for the familiarization tour. At that moment I realized that I succeed the first stage interview. Alhamdulillah.
